It's not just the players who get traded

So Jeff and I were talking this weekend, discussing Felipe Lopez' declaration that he deserved to be a starter and Jim Bowden's resultant implication that Lopez would soon be traded when Jeff made a joke about how unfortunate it would be that Washington would then also lose Lopez' extremely hot wife, Jennifer. That's her at right in a photo published in FHM magazine last year.

That's when it dawned on us that John Patterson, who was released just last week, recently married Miss D.C. 2005, Shannon Schambeau. That's her on the left. Nationals fans will be sad to see her go, as well.

Nationals players seem to have a knack for marrying beautiful women.

When the Nationals dealt Brian Schneider and Ryan Church to the Mets, their beautiful wives obviously went with them as well. That's Jordan Schneider on the left and Tina Church on the right doing an in-game interview on MASN promoting a charity blood drive the players' wives had organized. Their departure will be missed.

Frankly, it's a disturbing trend.

While Mrs. Schneider, Mrs. Church and Mrs. Patterson have all moved on, there may still be time for Felipe to get his game in gear and keep Washington from losing another hot baseball wife.
